Congratulations to the graduates of the first Aroma Class with North Korean defectors!
Aromatherapy is a natural therapy that promotes health and beauty using 100% natural essential oils extracted from nature. Much like traditional Korean medicine, aromatherapy has been widely developed in the West as a therapeutic practice for many years. In collaboration with Lee Seo-won, the CEO of Eden Work, Onehada organized an aroma class specifically designed for North Korean defectors. Recently, the first cohort of students completed the course, and a video capturing all the activities has been produced. Click on the video above to meet the North Korean defectors who have fallen in love with aromatherapy!

North Korean Defectors Find True Rest and Healing Through Aromatherapy
Among the first group of students, some struggled with health issues, while others were seeking ways to reduce the use of products containing artificial chemical ingredients. The first session introduced them to the history and types of essential oils, sparking immediate interest in the potential of natural aromas for enhancing their health. Each week, the students participated in hands-on classes where they created natural cosmetics and household items using various essential oils, combining fun and health benefits. While every session was meaningful, the class on tea tree oil, known for its immune-boosting and antibacterial properties, stood out. Many participants remarked how much they needed this lesson.
We were delighted to provide a moment of rest and relaxation through aromatherapy for North Korean defectors who often find little time to care for themselves amid the challenges of settling in South Korea. Congratulations to all the graduates of this three-week course! We look forward to your continued support and interest in Onehada’s Aroma Class for North Korean defectors!
